Nova Scotia Health Public Health has advised of potential exposures on two West Jet flights from Calgary to Halifax on August 24 and August 26.
Flight WS 232 departed Calgary at 9:30 am and arrived in Halifax at 5:14 pm on August 24. On August 26, WS 232 departed and arrived at the same time.
Passengers in rows 20 to 24 seats A, B, C, D are more likely to have had close contact with the virus on August 24.
On August 26, passengers in rows 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26 seats A, B and C are more likely to have had close contact.
These passengers are asked to call 811 for advice. Public Health is also directly contacting anyone else known to be a close contact of the person(s) confirmed to have COVID-19.
Anyone exposed to the virus on the flight may develop symptoms up to and including, 14 days after. If you were on these flights but not in the the rows and seats mentioned, you should self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19.
Possible Exposure In Taxi From Airport
Public Health is also advising of an individual(s) who accessed a cab departing the Halifax International Airport on August 24 between 6-7 pm, travelling to a residence in Halifax.
This individual(s) were asymptomatic at the time. They have issued the advisory out of an abundance of caution.
Anyone exposed may develop symptoms up to and including September 8, 2020. If you may have been exposed during this time, you should self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19
