Nova Scotia RCMP have said that a 22 year old woman has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after being bitten by what was believed to be a shark.
The victim has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
“What was going on here is that the parties were having an outing on the water and were swimming from the boat,” said Sgt. Andrew Joyce in an interview with CBC Nova Scotia.
Joyce told CBC the incident happened around 5:00pm Friday around half a mile west of Margaree Island, off the coast of Cape Breton near Saint Rose.
