The President and CEO of the O’Regan Motors group of auto dealerships, Sean O’Regan passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022.
Sean was a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University, a school many in his family have attended. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Business Administration before going on to join his family’s business as a sales and leasing consultant. In 2008 he would take the role of President and CEO.
The family owned business has served Nova Scotians since 1915 and is now a third generation automotive group selling 15 automotive brands in the province. Sean led the company of over 800 employees to countless awards including the Consumer Choice Award for New Car Dealer and Pre-Owned Dealer in Halifax for eleven years in a row.
Important to Sean O’Regan was supporting local causes. Under Sean’s leadership the company donated $2 million to the Dartmouth General Hospital Foundation’s Above and Beyond Campaign. The company also donated $1 million to the Halifax Central Library in memory of his father, the late Paul O’Regan. O’Regan’s supports countless other local charities and organizations.
Sean was predeceased by his father, Paul O’Regan, ten years ago. He is survived by his mother Mary, wife Lisa and their children, brother Patrick, sister Kathleen and many other relatives.
