You have to visit this Downtown Dartmouth shop!

The New Scotland Yard Emporium is a hub in downtown Dartmouth for coffee, music and community. The space is shared between a quaint cafe owned by local artist Joel Plaskett, and a record store owned by Halifax’s oldest operating record store, Taz Records.

A steady stream of regular faces come through the door each day for their coffee fix, music chats, and to flip through the LP’s. The goal at The New Scotland Yard is to serve up a quality cup of coffee that both coffee aficionados and a regular TImmies-goers can both enjoy in a warm and friendly environment.

The shop is setup to be the perfect ‘grab a quick coffee on-the-run’ place but also has bar seating for those who prefer to hang around and chew the fat with other regulars. All the music heard in the shop is exclusively played on vinyl and hand-picked by the baristas giving the shop a unique and charming personality.
