OpenTable, Canada’s leading online restaurant reservation service has released their list of the 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in Canada for 2020. The list was compiled from over 500,000 reviews submitted by diners using OpenTable.
The Press Gang, located in Downtown Halifax made their list. It occupies one of the cities oldest stone buildings in the city, dating back to 1759. The second on the list is The Canteen located on Portland Street in Downtown Dartmouth. The Canteen is a full service neighbourhood restaurant, serving up chef-inspired seasonal fare for lunch, brunch and dinner. In charge of the kitchen is award-winning chef and co-owner Renee Lavallee. Her seasonal menus are influenced by classic French, Italian and traditional Nova Scotian cuisine. Signature items include The Canteen Burger, The Crobster Roll and Seafood Chowder.
It has also been announced, Renee will be part of the judging panel on Canada’s Food Network show, Wall of Chefs.
