A Nova Scotia company has created a unique chocolate bar that is aiding the people of Ukraine.
Peace By Chocolate, based out of Antigonish, NS will be donating proceeds from its new Peace For Ukraine Bar to the Canadian Red Cross to assist the people of Ukraine. The Government of Canada is matching donations at the moment so your contribution is doubled. The bar features “Peace” in Ukrainian.
“Our family knows firsthand how it is to live through war. So we will do everything we can to help those who are forced to experience it.” says the company. “It is something indescribable that we would not wish upon anyone, so every day we do our best to promote peace here in Canada and throughout the world.”

Peace By Chocolate was founded by The Hadhad family. They fled Syria after their chocolate factory was bombed during the country’s war and came to live in Canada as refugees. The family settled in Antigonish, NS where they re-started their chocolate business, became Canadian citizens and now ship delicious product throughout the world.
The business is also donating proceeds from it’s Peace Maker Bar Series to the Canadian Red Cross.
