A Nova Scotian marketing company wanted to say thank you to employees at grocery, pharmacy and of course liquor stores for working and serving the public during the COVID-19 pandemic. They have placed 15 billboards around Halifax.
Neil Stephen, founder of This Is Marketing in Dartmouth says “We were planning a party. On April 1st our company turns five years old. That’s a big milestone for a small business and we wanted to celebrate. We had saved up some money and had planned on really letting loose with our friends and clients and families. Of course, two weeks ago, that all changed.”
Due to the current health situation, they couldn’t host the party. “I wanted to spend the money helping other businesses and communicating gratitude to those working every day to ensure we all have plenty to eat and drink.” Stephen explained.
“Every member of our team here has worked in retail and hospitality. I worked at a Supervalu myself for many years. In this moment we know what those staff are facing and we are incredibly grateful for their efforts.”
“It would have been a lot less than 15 signs but the folks at Glow Promotions gave us a killer deal so a big thank you to them as well. 15 thank you signs isn’t enough. It’s nowhere near enough, but it’s a start.”
Stephen adds, “If you’re a business, I’d ask you to consider donating to the Atlantic Grocery Foundation or PC Children’s Charity.”
