Way to go Cape Breton, Travel + Leisure Magazine has named Cape Breton Island, not only the #1 island to visit in Canada, but the number #1 island to visit in North America.  They have ranked Cape Breton Island as the #8 island in the world to visit based on responses from their readers.

“This speaks to the appeal of the Island as a destination… the natural beauty, our vibrant cultures, and the amazing experience delivered by our tourism industry,” Destination Cape Breton Association CEO Terry Smith said Thursday.

Travel + Leisure Magazine is seen as the leader in travel industry publications.
