Annapolis Valley’s Iconic Arches Collapse

The iconic keyhole arches in the Annapolis Valley have collapsed.

The area is known locally as Paddy’s Island. The arches have been beaten away by the strong tides for years and fell victim to them sometime within the last two weeks.

In August 2019, Mia Lockhart mentioned her concerns to The Weather Network in an interview. “With storms and rising sea lives it’s getting so that you know maybe 10-20 years we won’t have (the arches) anymore” she told them.
