Maybe more fun to visit with your significant other than a BFF, Hemlock Ravine Park in Halifax features a heart shaped pond, known as Julie’s Pond. It was built by Prince Edward, Duke of Kent for his mistress.

The park is 200 acres and features 4km of trails great for walking and snowshoeing.
