Many local libraries and recreation centres across the province will lend you snowshoes or cross country skis to get out and explore the parks and backwood trails in Nova Scotia.

Contact your local library or recreation department to see if they offer such service. Some that do are Yarmouth Recreation, Colchester Recreation, many Halifax Recreation Centres and The Cape Breton Regional Library.
