Cape Breton musicians be warned, Dartmouth musician Adam Baldwin has been tickling the ivory working on your music and it sounds great.
We actually caught Adam Baldwin playing at Pickford and Black on the Halifax waterfront a few years back where he played another tune from the Island.
“I’ve been working on this racket since March. This is as close to perfect as I hope to get it. Remember kids, practise makes…. reasonably listenable. Love to you all.” Baldwin posted to social media this morning.
The tune is named Lime Hill Strathspey by Dan R. MacDonald and has made it on many Cape Breton music albums including the likes of the Rankin Family where John Morris Rankin played it.
Baldwin has been nominated for numerous East Coast Music Awards and has won plenty of Music Nova Scotia Awards. Besides his solo career, he also plays with fellow Dartmouth musician Matt Mays.
