Cape Breton native, Adam Chiasson, is strumming his way to success with his new venture, Tree Picks. In a short period of time his wooden guitar picks have found homes around the world.
For every pick sold, Tree Picks plants a tree. The first tree planting was in Cape Breton last summer.
The question that he gets the most is, why should someone use a pick made of wood? Adam says the answer is one word, “TONE!” He says, “Wooden picks will give you a different sound. They sound and feel different. There are many other reasons such as the environmental side of it. We plant a tree for every pick we sell, and wooden picks will eventually compost, but we at Tree Picks are players. The main reason we like to use a pick made out of wood is because of how they sound.”
