Yikes! Halifax Police Charged Someone For Driving 198 km/h In A 50 km/h Zone This Morning

Halifax Regional Police say they charged a 25-year-old man with stunting on Highway 102 in Halifax this morning.

Around 10:55 AM, a member of HRP’s Traffic Unit saw a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Highway 10 near Bayers Road. The vehicle was travelling at 198 km/h in a 50 km/h zone

The man’s vehicle was seized and impounded, his license was also suspended for seven days. On-top of that, the fine for stunting is $2,422.50 and six points assigned to the driver’s record. The man was also issued a summary offence ticket for operating a motor vehicle without valid insurance.

Police say if you see someone driving dangerously, report it to police by calling 911.
