Why Is This Halifax Golf Course Making Snow?

The Links At Brunello in partnership with the Halifax Nordic Ski Club and Cross Country Nova Scotia are producing man made snow and building a “snow bowl” the size of four football fields. Here you will be able to cross country ski under the lights at night and during the day.

The area is groomed by the staff and you can even venture onto the groomed cart paths for more adventure.

This truly unique winter experience is open to the public. Don’t have the equipment you say? No problem, they rent all the required gear. Also, many Halifax recreation centres will lend you winter sports equipment. Brunello also offers snow shoeing and outdoor skating and pond hockey on hole #4.

Both kids and adults can participate in programs and lessons offered by The Halifax Nordic Ski Club.

To visit Brunello and take part in cross country activities the Halifax Nordic Ski Club would encourage you to become a member. It’s very affordable and you can do that here, or simply pay a $10 drop in fee at Brunello. For a full list of winter sports and rates, visit here

The cross country skiing has been made possible by the partnership between the Halifax Nordic Ski Club, Cross Country Nova Scotia and The Links at Brunello being a great corporate citizen. Communities Culture and Heritage also provided a grant for the program.
