What Is Now Tropical Storm Claudette Expected To Impact Nova Scotia Next Week

Life threatening flash flooding and heavy rains are expected to hit coastal communities of the Gulf coast this weekend. Tropical storm warnings have been issued for the area as Claudette, the third named storm of the season moves over land. Warnings have also been issued for areas of North Carolina.

Claudette is expected to move off land and into the Atlantic Ocean on Monday. The storm is forecast to gain some strength as it moves toward Nova Scotia. As it moves into the cooler waters off Nova Scotia, some of what is gained will be lost.

Claudette is forecast to have an impact on Nova Scotia’s weather Tuesday into Wednesday next week. The storm will likely be a Tropical Storm while off our coast, but quickly dissipate into a post-tropical storm as she nears with a possible landfall forecast.
