The Royal Canadian Air Force has confirmed that the victim from the Snowbirds crash Sunday in Kamloops BC was Captain Jenn Casey from Halifax, Nova Scotia.
“The RCAF has suffered another tragic loss of a dedicated member of the RCAF team. We are deeply saddened and grieve alongside Jenn’s family and friends.” the Snowbirds said in a Twitter post.
Casey was the Public Affairs Officer for the Snowbirds and attended Dalhousie University and The University of King’s College in Halifax.
Joining the Canadian Air Force in 2014, Casey became a member of The Snowbirds in 2018. Before joining the Forces she worked as a radio reporter, newscaster and producer for News 95.7 in Halifax.
Her first assignment as a Public Affairs Officer was at 8 Wing Trenton, the Royal Canadian Air Force’s home of air mobility. She spent the 2018 season with the CF-18 Demo Team, travelling North America and the United Kingdom.
