Potential Record Setting Cold For Nova Scotia’s Long Weekend

Get your toque and mittens ready, we’re heading into some of the coldest weather of the winter.

Canada’s Weather Network says Nova Scotia is in for some bone chilling cold this weekend. Factoring in the windchill it’s going to feel like the -30’s for some areas of the province. We’re heading into windchill lows of minus -31°C in Amherst, -25°C in areas like New Glasgow and Inverness. Halifax will feel like the -23°C when you wake up on Saturday morning.

“These low temperatures could actually be record-setting early Saturday morning,” said Weather Network meteorologist Jaclyn Whittal.

The upside, we should have sunny skies for the long weekend.
