Parker Street Food & Furniture Bank In Desperate Need Of School Supplies After More Than 1,000 Applications

The Parker Street Food & Furniture Bank has received more than 1,000 applications from students in the Halifax Regional Municipality looking for assistance with school supplies this year. They need your help to provide them with the essential supplies.

• Backpacks
• Binders
• Crayons
• Folders
• Geo sets
• Loose-leaf paper
• Lunch bags
• Writing tools (pens, pencils, coloured pencils, markers, etc.)

You can donate by purchasing and dropping off school supplies at 2415 Maynard Street in Halifax during hours of operation or their Great Things In Store locations. You may also bring donations to their Friends of Parker Street 5K Run/Walk scheduled for 8:00am on Sunday August 21 at Point Pleasant Park.
