Nova Scotia’s Mattea Roach Wins 10th Game – Defeats Fellow Canadian

After becoming the Canadian to win the most prize money in the history of Jeopardy! Mattea Roach kept things alive Monday night winning her tenth game. In tonight’s episode she defeated fellow Canadian, Caitlin Hayes of British Columbia.

The first round belonged mainly to Mattea who landed the Daily Double. The second round was her’s as well, where she picked up both Daily Doubles. Nova Scotia’s favourite Jeopardy! contestant was conservative in her wagers on her Daily Doubles. At the end of Double Jeopardy, Mattea lead with $20,800 and the only person who could catch her was Sarah of New York, who had $12,800.

Mattea walked away with the most after Final Jeopardy! wagering and losing $4,001 on an incorrect answer. She is now a ten day Jeopardy Champion with $227,601.

Jeopardy airs at 8:30PM Atlantic on CBS.
