After becoming the Canadian to win the most prize money in the history of Jeopardy! Mattea Roach kept things alive Monday night winning her tenth game. In tonight’s episode she defeated fellow Canadian, Caitlin Hayes of British Columbia.
The first round belonged mainly to Mattea who landed the Daily Double. The second round was her’s as well, where she picked up both Daily Doubles. Nova Scotia’s favourite Jeopardy! contestant was conservative in her wagers on her Daily Doubles. At the end of Double Jeopardy, Mattea lead with $20,800 and the only person who could catch her was Sarah of New York, who had $12,800.
Around the time of the Vancouver Olympics I made a point of learning all the Olympic host cities (winter and summer) in order, so St. Moritz was a slam dunk for me on a tricky $2000 clue! Not as much of a slam dunk – the $2000 clue in “Trios.” Again, I need to review the Bible
