Nova Scotian And Ex Of Anne Heche Sends Thoughts And Prayers – Heche Not Expected To Survive

American actress Anne Heche was allegedly behind the wheel of a speeding vehicle in Los Angeles when it crashed into a house erupting into flames on Friday, August 5.

Los Angeles police confirmed the vehicle drove 30 feet into the home which caught fire and took fifty-nine firefighters to bring under control. The driver received severe burns in the incident.

Actor James Tupper, from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia was Heche’s partner for 10 years and shares their 13 year-old son Atlas Heche Tupper.

“Thoughts and prayers for this lovely woman, actress and mother tonight anneheche 💔 we love you,” he said on Instagram with a photo of Heche and Atlas.

While together, Tupper and Heche were known to visit Nova Scotia and had a particular interest in the area around Ketch Harbour and Sambro Head.

Heche once accused Tupper of trying to sell their Los Angelas home without her knowledge. After the break up, the two decided to share the same house alternating their occupancy on weekends. Heche accused Tupper of changing the security code and locks to the house.

Heche went to court asking them for an emergency ruling keeping her from being locked out of her home again.

Tupper denied the allegations. “I truly do not understand this drama and hope it isn’t linked to extended drug use,” he said at the time, also noting Heche’s other son spent the night in question on the property and had no trouble accessing it.

TMZ received and aired footage from before the crash from an apartment complex where residents can be seen trying to help remove Heche from her vehicle but she appears to refuse help. She then puts her car in reverse and leaves the scene.

“Unfortunately, due to her accident, Anne Heche suffered a severe anoxic brain injury and remains in a coma, in critical condition. She is not expected to survive.” a representative for Heche said in a statement to People Magazine.

“It has long been her choice to donate her organs and she’s being kept on life support to determine if any are viable.”
