Nova Scotia Wakes Up To Gasoline As Low As 95.3 Cents Per Litre

The price of gasoline dropped a bit more than 10 cents at midnight. It’s now set at a minimum of 95.3 cents per litre in Halifax and a bit higher outside of the city in locations like Yarmouth (96.4), Amherst (96.5) and Sydney (97.3). Diesel is now priced at a minimum of 91.7 cents per litre in Halifax and a bit higher outside of the city.

This is the first time in 2020 that the price has been below $1 per litre and is due to the fact that crude oil has suffered significant losses on the world markets. Saudi Arabia and Russia ended their oil supply cut agreement and have increased production.

Furthermore the uncertainty around COVID-19 and slumping stock markets aren’t helping the price of oil.

Our suggestion… enjoy it while it lasts!
