A Nova Scotia pot biz has some pretty high reaching plans. Nova Scotia weed company Mernova Medicinal and its parent company Creso Pharma have purchased a digital land plot in the metaverse next to one of the world’s most popular stoners, hip hop musician Snoop Dogg.
The company has eventual plans to launch, brand and sell its products in the metaverse. As part of this strategy, Creso Pharma has constructed a digital replica of its 14,000 square foot Annapolis Valley grow-op run by Mernova Medicinal next to Snoop Dogg’s mansion.
The cultivation facility is scheduled to go live in the metaverse in the second quarter of 2022 and shareholders will be invited to take a virtual tour.
Creso Pharma has plans to build a large stadium next to the replica of its Annapolis Valley facility where it will host concerts with prominent marijuana influencers, launch products and engage with customers pending regulatory clearances.
All of this is being developed on The Sandbox, a community driven platform. It is a place where creators can monetize digital assets and experiences.
“We are very excited to unveil our plans to enter the metaverse.” said CEO and Managing Director William Lay. “We expect that the launch will allow for the introduction of Creso Pharma’s brands and products to a wide range of new consumers utilizing the metaverse to seek the latest and most exciting developments.”
The company has spent almost $120,000 on the project to date.
