Today marks the eleventh consecutive day of no new COVID-19 cases reported in Nova Scotia. As of today’s announcement, while many other provinces are seeing a rise in cases, Nova Scotia is the only province in Canada reporting zero active cases.
There have been 1,086 positive COVID-19 cases in the province and 65 deaths. Cases have ranged in age from under 10 to over 90. One thousand twenty one cases are now considered resolved.
The list of symptoms being screened for COVID-19 was recently updated to reflect the epidemiology in Nova Scotia. Visit https://811.novascotia.ca to determine if you should call 811 for further assessment if in the past 48 hours you have had, or you are currently experiencing:
- fever (i.e. chills/sweats) or cough (new or worsening)
Or: Two or more of the following symptoms (new or worsening):
- sore throat
- runny nose/ nasal congestion
- shortness of breath
