Nova Scotia Is Getting So Much Vaccine The Military Is Being Brought In To Give Shots

Nova Scotia is expecting to receive upwards of 400,000 doses of Moderna vaccine in the next few weeks. The supply is so big that the Federal Government has approved a request from Nova Scotia for the Canadian Armed Forces to administer vaccine in the province.

Forces’ members will administer doses at a clinic being set up at the Halifax Convention Centre that can see 500-1000 people per day come through the doors.

The military will provide the personnel required until the Canadian Red Cross can take over at a future date.

Nova Scotia Premier, Iain Rankin is due to tour the new immunization facility at the Halifax Convention Centre at 8:00AM on Tuesday morning.

The Premier and Dr. Robert Strang will hold a COVID-19 update Tuesday at 3:00pm.
