The Cup Is Coming Back To Nova Scotia – Nathan MacKinnon And The Colorado Avalanche Are Champs

Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia’s Nathan MacKinnon says his day with the Stanley Cup will include his family and friends. He made the comment last night after the Colorado Avalanche clinched the Stanley Cup in Game 6 of the NHL Playoff Finals.

The Avalanche defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1 and MacKinnon’s one-timer in the second period was the goal that tied the game for Colorado.

MacKinnon viewed his Tampa Bay hotel room number, 1787 as a sign of his good friend and fellow Nova Scotian, Sidney Crosby.

““I am really happy for Nate.” said Sidney Crosby. “I know how much it means to him and his family. I have seen how hard he’s worked to achieve this and glad that he’s got rewarded and gets to experience everything that comes with winning. It’s special.”
