It’s The First Day Of Spring! Gas Prices Down 7.8 Cents

Nova Scotians waking up on this first day of Spring will find the price gasoline and diesel down. Gasoline fell by 7.8 cents and diesel by 7.6 cents at most gas stations. The minimum price of gasoline in Halifax is 71.6 cents per litre and diesel is 82.8 cents per litre. Prices will be a little higher outside of the city in areas like Yarmouth, New Glasgow and Sydney.

According to Statistics Canada, gasoline prices haven’t been this low in Halifax since August 2001. Back then they averaged 71.8 cents per litre.

Unfortunately, this first day of Spring brings showers.

In Halifax you can expect a high of 8 degrees with rain in the morning tapering to showers in the afternoon. Amounts around 10mm.

In Yarmouth you can expect a high of 9 degrees. It will be cloudy with light rain into the afternoon. Amounts around 5mm.

In New Glasgow you can expect a high of 10 degrees. Expect cloudy conditions with light rain into the afternoon. Amounts around 5mm.

In Sydney you will have a high of 8 degrees with rain into the afternoon and amounts around 15mm.

There is a risk of thunderstorms in areas of the province this evening.
