Hurricane Earl will pass well to the east of Nova Scotia and remain over the open Atlantic Ocean.
The Canadian Hurricane Centre says the storm is not expected to have any impact over land areas in Canada.
Earl is forecast to become a strong Category 3 hurricane and even though we won’t feel the effect of a hurricane in Nova Scotia, we may see large waves along the Atlantic coast this weekend. Possible life-threatening rip currents could accompany the surf.
It may be a nice weekend to head to the beach, listen to the surf, get some photos and enjoy some wave action from a distance.
