Halifax Infirmary Emergency Department Experiencing Overcrowding, Long Waits This Weekend

According to Nova Scotia Health, The QEII Health Sciences Centre’s Halifax Infirmary site emergency department is experiencing high patient volumes this weekend.

“Patient waits in the emergency department may be long. We appreciate your continued patience.” said Nova Scotia Health in a release.

Do not hesitate to visit the QEII emergency department if you are experiencing an emergency.

They ask those who need non-urgent care to please call your family doctor or visit a walk-in clinic.

Anyone with urgent medical needs should call 911.

For general health advice and information call 811, which is a service offered 24 hours a day, seven days a week by experienced registered nurses.
