Filmed In Nova Scotia TV Series Picked Up By Major American Television Network

Sullivan’s Crossing, which filmed in beautiful Nova Scotia will make its American debut this Fall.

It has been announced that U.S. television network The CW has picked up the series which stars Chad Michael Murray of One Tree Hill fame, Scott Patterson, known for Gilmore Girls and Morgan Kohan of Hallmark’s When Hope Calls.

Both Chad Michael Murray and Scott Paterson are no strangers to the network, both One Tree Hill and Gilmore Girls aired in the United States on The CW.

“Sullivan’s Crossing is an emotionally rich, authentic family drama that will immediately resonate with audiences thanks to an incredible cast and relatable themes of self-reflection, second chances and the power of community,” said Brad Schwartz, The CW’s president of entertainment. “Alongside a breakout performance from Morgan Kohan, it is incredibly special to bring Chad and Scott back home to The CW.”

Sullivan’s Crossing gives The CW a scripted show to rely on this fall, if a possible pending strike by the Writers Guild of America occurs.

The show, currently midway through it’s run on CTV in Canada, follows the journey of neurosurgeon Maggie Sullivan (Kohan), whose perfectly planned life is turned upside down after finding herself in unexpected legal troubles. She temporarily leaves her life in Boston taking refuge in her childhood home of Sullivan’s Crossing, a campground in picturesque Nova Scotia run by her estranged father, Sully Sullivan (Patterson). In Nova Scotia, Maggie must deal with her complicated present while also navigating her painful past. Further complicating matters is the irritating mysterious newcomer, Cal Jones (Murray), whose presence in Sullivan’s Crossing ultimately leads Maggie to question her carefully laid plans.
