Farewell To Nova Scotia: Theodore’s Last Day, He Casts Off For Ontario Tomorrow

Theodore Too, better known as Theodore Tugboat will be departing Halifax Harbour for what is likely the last time this week.

You can see Theodore today before his departure tomorrow. He is docked near The Maritime Museum of The Atlantic on the Halifax waterfront.

Ambassatours Gray Line said that the new owner will base the boat out of Hamilton, ON. The plan is to have Theodore tour the Great Lakes and Atlantic Canada promoting marine careers.

Although not a real tug boat, Halifax’s favourite tour boat with its big eyes, red cap and friendly smile will be departing “the big harbour” on Thursday morning around 9AM.

“Friends, no matter where I berth or where my new adventures take me, Halifax will always be my hometown, Toot! Toot!” was posted on Theodores social media account.

Tune into Nova Scotia Buzz and Nova Scotia Webcams on Facebook Thursday morning as we broadcast Theodore Tugboat’s final departure.
