Emergency Health Service’s LifeFlight plane made an emergency landing at Halifax Stanfield International Airport on Saturday afternoon around 3:00pm.

Six people, including two patients were aboard the plane when the aircraft notified the control tower that it would be returning to the airport with a suspected mechanical issue. All six people were safe after touching down.

Photos from the scene shows issues with the landing gear under one wing collapsing.

This morning the Transportation Safety Board of Canada announced that they would be deploying a team of investigators to Halifax Stanfield due to the incident.
