Dr. Strang Says Nova Scotia Is Again Seeing COVID-19 Community Spread

Dr. Robert Strang, Nova Scotia’s Chief Medical Officer of Health said in his update today there have been several cases of COVID-19 that cannot be traced to travel.

Nova Scotia is again experiencing community spread of COVID-19 and the beginning of the second wave has started. Public Health is looking at what they need to do in terms of new restrictions if the public doesn’t listen to the given advice.

“We will not hesitate to shut down this economy in sections.” Premier Stephen McNeil said.

Dr. Strang said there are many paths the province can take. If you feel unwell it’s important to stay home from work, school and other activities. Take the COVID-19 screening test online.

“This is a fight we are all in together.” Dr. Strang said.
