Cineplex Opens More Nova Scotia Cinemas, But Majority Remain Closed

Are you missing big screen movies? Here’s some great news movie lovers! More Nova Scotia Cineplex locations are opening today, Friday July 24!

Previously opened in the province were Cineplex locations in Dartmouth Crossing and Scotiabank Theatre in Bayer’s Lake.

Opening today in Nova Scotia according to Cineplex’s website are locations in New Glasgow and Sydney.

There are some great deals too! On Tuesdays, enjoy tickets for only $2.99 and every other day for $5. Movies you can expect to see will include popular classic movies and recent theatrical releases that you may have missed.

Cineplex Cinemas in Dartmouth, NS.

You should purchase your ticket in advance as reserved seating is in effect within each cinema. You can also purchase at the self-serve kiosks, but you won’t be guaranteed a seat when you show up at the theatre.

Cinemas will be operating at a 60% – 80% reduced capacity with staggered seating. Seats will be booked in groups of two, but on arrival staff will allow for modifications.

If you’re one who likes to arrive after the pre-show, you’re going to have to change that! You now must arrive 15 minutes before showtime.

Limited concessions will be available, but they’re going to include your regular favourites like hot buttered popcorn, soda pop and candy.

Employees will be wearing masks and guests will be asked to follow suggested public health guidelines and wear them too. Cineplex will give you one at no charge if you don’t own one.

We will keep you up to date as more locations open across the province!
