Nova Scotia’s Stewiacke River turned into a sporting hotspot this weekend when Montreal Canadiens’ goalie, Carey Price, showed he’s not only king of the ice but also on the river by swapping his goalie stick for a fishing rod.
Price has been on the Montreal Canadiens long-term injured reserve list for sometime and has yet to formally retire. Known for his exceptional agility, Price showed that his talent extends beyond the hockey arena.
“It quickly became evident why he is such an incredible role model for so many.” said Matt Szeto, owner of Fish On Guide Service. “Thank you Carey for the excitement, laughs, and life advice.”

Price enjoyed a relaxed day of fishing, demonstrating his abilities at reeling in a collection of fish, including a 40-inch beast.
