Russell Musgrave of Boularderie Centre, N.S., is celebrating a life-changing win after purchasing the newest Atlantic Lottery Scratch’N Win ticket. His $1.5-million top-prize win on the Super Set for Life ticket has left him amazed and grateful.
“I asked the cashier if there was anything new, and she showed me that one, so I asked how much for a whole pack of them,” Musgrave recounted. “She checked and said it would be $400 for the entire package, so I said, ‘Well, give me $200 worth of them.’”
Musgrave wasted no time and began scratching his tickets as soon as he got home. To his astonishment, the very first ticket he scratched revealed the $1.5 million jackpot.
“That ticket had to be the first ticket she took out of the package,” Musgrave marveled. “What are the chances of that?”
The Super Set for Life ticket, which offers a choice between $100,000 a year for 20 years or a lump sum payment of $1.5 million, is now exclusively available in Atlantic Canada. Musgrave opted for the lump sum payment.
“I feel great,” Musgrave exclaimed. “It’s a very substantial pile of money.”
Musgrave has big plans for his windfall, intending to renovate his home, pay off his daughter’s mortgage, and provide assistance to his loved ones.
Musgrave purchased his winning Super Set for Life ticket at Brewer’s Convenience in North Sydney, N.S. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time the store has sold a winning Super Set for Life ticket. Pat and Clint Lettice of Sydney Mines, N.S., who won the top prize in April 2023, also purchased their ticket at the same retail location.
