An Emergency Alert was issued this afternoon for residents of Antigonish, Colchester and Pictou Counties. It stated there was a missing 36-year-old man and 3-year-old child in the Abercrombie area of Pictou County. That alert has since been followed by one stating that the man and boy had been located safely.
RCMP said that at approximately 12:15 PM RCMP officers located an SUV, that was being driven by the man. It was abandoned on Granton Abercrombie Road. Investigators were on scene trying to located the two.
RCMP Police Dog Services and RCMP Air Services assisted with the search. Ground Search and Rescue Teams were being deployed to the area as well.
