You Aren’t Required To Wear A Mask At Costco In Canada, At Least For Now… Despite Reports.

You are not required to wear a mask when shopping at Canadian Costco locations at least as of yet, despite reports.

Starting May 4, Costco members who enter warehouses in The United States will have to wear face masks at all times while shopping.

As of April 30, there has been no word from Costco in Canada when and if shoppers will need to wear masks at Canadian locations. An administrative employee at the Halifax warehouse told us that because the rule is being implemented in the United States, it will likely come to Canada.

There is speculation online that Canadians will need to wear a mask to enter Costco beginning May 18, 2020, but nothing has been confirmed.

Costco has also implemented a policy that allows first-responders and health care workers to gain priority access to their warehouses if there is a wait to enter because of social distancing rules.
