Nova Scotia Buzz
It was lunch time and the Nova Scotia Buzz team was sitting around our work space debating what to have for lunch. A Facebook ad popped up in our feed for something called the Big M Donair.
The Big M Donair is the creation of King of Donair which has locations throughout Halifax. They also have three western locations in Saskatoon, Grand Prairie and Calgary.
Not only could we have lunch, but we learned this Big Mac inspired donair has some interesting ingredients that are not found on a typical donair and we could let readers know what we thought.
We ordered takeout from King of Donair on Quinpool Road and were excited to get back and try our Big M’s that includes donair beef, secret sauce, cheese, pickles, lettuce and onions on pita bread.

If you’re a true donair fan, you are probably saying, lettuce, pickles and cheese have no place on a donair. Hear us out. This is not your typical donair. It is a recreation of a Big Mac through and through, except for one thing. What makes the donair stand out is the spicy all beef donair meat. It makes the whole Big M experience original and a tasty adventure you need to try.
From the Big M secret sauce, which tastes just like the sauce on a Big Mac to when you finish and are licking your fingers, you’ll be wondering, did I just eat a Big Mac or a Donair? Never did we think pickle, lettuce and cheese would taste so good with donair meat. It’s a must try.
The Big M Donair is available at all King of Donair locations for a limited time. A regular sized Big M costs $8.99 or you can try the large for $13.39. We hear the Big M will be around through Halifax’s Burger Week which ends on April 1.
