Halifax has a lot of options when it comes to watching sports and warming up before the big game at Scotiabank Centre. The doors to the arena have been closed for months because of gathering limits and some are starting to miss watching live sports.
If you’re looking for a safe place to visit during COVID-19 but still feel the roar of the crowd, the capacity at this new open air bar in Halifax is huge. It’s the next best thing to being there in person.
The new Niche BBQ and Beer Yard is the largest outdoor venue to watch the game in Nova Scotia. There is tons of room between you and the group sitting across to safely enjoy the game.
The game is shown on a huge outdoor digital screen. No matter where you are, you get a great view.
They offer five can buckets of beer for only $22, draught beer for only $4 and a 148 oz. table keg for $45.
The food is BBQ’d right in front of you on site. You smell it being prepared before it even reaches your table. From Mexican Street Corn, BBQ ribs, BBQ chicken and to die for potato salad, there are tons of options to try.
We tried the ribs and the potato salad and would highly recommend them.
The Beer Yard is located in the quad between the Maritime Centre and Four Points Sheraton. Access the location through the Four Points Sheraton side entrance on Salter Street and follow the signs.
