You Can Watch Harry Potter At A Halifax Drive-In Movie Theatre This Weekend

Looking for the ultimate nostalgic trip down memory lane? Drive-in cinemas are making a come back and people are driving the distance to reach them!

This weekend you can catch a great lineup of family movies in the Halifax area with Pop Up Cinemas. Coming off many successful shows to date, they have another stellar lineup this weekend for your friends and family.

On Friday you can catch Pokemon’s Detective Pikachu at Ecole du Summet on Larry Uteck Blvd. in Bedford. This movie is playing on the school’s field and is not a drive-in. Be sure to bring your favourite lawn chair and blankets. General admission tickets are $5, gates open at 8pm and the show starts at dusk.

On Saturday night Pop Up Cinemas is playing 1989’s Batman, featuring Michael Keaton as Batman and Jack Nicholson as the Joker. The show is at the Halifax Seaport, Lot C on Marginal Road. It is drive-in format and chairs aren’t permitted. You can sit in the bed of your truck or tailgate of your van.

They’re ending the weekend with some magic on Sunday! Drive-in and watch Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone at Cole Harbour Place on Forrest Hill’s Parkway.

Batman is $29 per car load and Harry Potter is $26. Car load is the maximum number of seat belts in your vehicle. Gates open at 7:00pm for the best seats and there is no entry after 9:00pm. The show begins at dusk.

Pop Up Cinema even has an app for you to order concessions on, so be sure to check that out.

For any of these shows be sure to buy your tickets fast as they tend to sell out quickly. You can get them on Pop Up Cinema’s website.
