While Shaggy belted out his classic tunes, he also surprised the Halifax crowd with a unique twist on his repertoire. The lyrics of “Strength Of A Woman” were creatively reimagined for the Halifax crowd, resulting in a powerful rendition titled “Strength Of A Halifax Woman.” The rendition struck a chord with the waterfront crowd which sang along with the new anthem.

Shaggy flawlessly delivered other chart-topping hits, including the timeless “Mr. Boombastic” and his hit “Angel.” The crowd got deep into rhythms and melodies, singing along to much of the show.

In an unexpected twist, Shaggy performed a cover of “That’s Life” by Frank Sinatra, showcasing his versatility as an artist. The rendition, a collaboration he recently produced with the legendary Sting, added a touch of sophistication to the evening’s performance, leaving the audience in awe of his talent.

As the night drew to a close, Shaggy concluded the show with his most iconic and crowd-favorite hit, “It Wasn’t Me.” Memories were made on the waterfront as the crowd sang along with what was once a Billboard #1 hit.

Shaggy’s nostalgic performance, combined with the opening act by Jah’Mila, created an atmosphere of unity and celebration. The festival continues to solidify its reputation as a premier event in the Canadian music scene, providing unforgettable experiences for fans and artists alike.
